During MBBS, there is no specialization that a person/candidate can choose. After completing the MBBS degree and one-year internship, which is mandatory, a person can choose a specialization for their higher degree in the medical field. The most common specialisations branches are Doctor of Medicine, also known as MD, and Master of Surgery which also goes by MS.
